Fred x Rick are an Amsterdam-based DJ duo comprised of Fred and Rick de Groot. Known for their melodic house sound built on hypnotic rhythms and deep, rolling grooves, the pair have established themselves as fixtures of the city's electronic scene from an unlikely vantage point: the top of the A'DAM Tower.

As residents of the ICONYC collective, Fred x Rick hold down a regular slot at Madam, the venue crowning the tower, where they headline WE ARE ICONYC and Madam by Night events. Their sets pair immersive, late-night melodies with a panoramic view of Amsterdam, a combination that has made the residency one of the city's most distinctive club experiences. Playing back to back, the two share an intuition that only comes from years behind the decks together, reading the room and building their sets in long, patient arcs that reward the dancers who stay until the end.

That approach reflects a simple philosophy: the groove comes first. Rather than chasing peaks, Fred x Rick let tension build slowly, layering warm basslines, hypnotic percussion, and melodies that surface just when the floor needs them. It is a sound shaped by Amsterdam itself, equal parts understated and euphoric.

Beyond the booth, the duo host Flow State on ICONYC Radio, a regular dose of the deep, melodic selections that define their sound. Whether twenty floors up or on the airwaves, Fred x Rick deliver the same thing every time: grooves that pull you in and don't let go.
